Editing Virtue

Icons

There are several lines of icons at the top of the content window. This is a subset of html functions and other options to custom format your Virtue. Mouse over the icons to see their descriptions.

Visual Mode

On the right hand side above the icons are two modes of operation, “Visual” and “Text“. You will be using the “Visual” mode most of the time. Left click on “Visual“. The “Text” mode is raw html code for more experienced users. The content window should have the current Virtue for editing.

Virtue

The first line should have a short-code to define the Virtue. It is in the format of quotecoll author=”<VirtueName>” within square brackets. It is generated by the icon vfvirtue(Virtue: Virtue). When the page is viewed, the Virtue name and meaning will be displayed.

Dictionary

The next several lines should have short-codes to display the dictionary definition of the Virtue. There are three short-codes:

  • The first item is the start of the dictionary definition for the Virtue. It includes the Virtue name. It is in the format of do action=”vfdictstart” title=”<Vir·tue·Name>”/ within square brackets. It is generated by the icon vfdictstart(Vfdictstart: vfdictstart).
  • The next several items define the meaning of the Virtue. It is in the format of do action=”vfdictitem” contents=”<definition>”/ within square quotes. It is generated by the icon vfdictitem(Vfdictitem: vfdictitem).
  • The last item is the end of the dictionary definitions for this Virtue. It is in the format of do action=”vfdictend”/ within square brackets.

When the page is viewed, the dictionary will be expanded into a nice format.

Editing/Adding Text
