No Gray Twilight for Me!

CrayonsFar better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure… than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat…….

—Theodore Roosevelt

Are you living every day as a glorious adventure?

Most people scurry around busily, caught up in this world’s rat race, the gray twilight, trying to accomplish things through their own strength and ability. Some succeed enormously; others fail miserably. But both groups miss what life is meant to be: living and working a glorious life in collaboration with our Creator.

When you depend on your Creator continually, your whole perspective changes. You see miracles happening all around you, while others see only natural occurrences and “coincidences.”

You begin each day with joyful expectation, watching to see what your Creator will bring to you today. You accept weakness as a gift from Him, knowing that His power plugs in most readily to fill the voids left by our weakness.

Living life as a great adventure, you keep your plans tentative, knowing that His plans are far superior. You consciously live, move, and have your being in Him, desiring that He live in and through you.

How is your day going? Are you coloring it with one gray crayon? Or, are you living in that big 64 color box?
